Supplier Code of Business Conduct
Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited has implemented a Supplier Code of Business conduct. The Code sets standards for a wide-range of important matters including compliance with laws, wage and benefits, working conditions, the use of child or forced labour, sub-suppliers and human rights.
Suppliers are required to abide by the Supplier Code of Business Conduct, which carries with it an assessment, monitoring and enforcement regimen. If a breach of the Supplier Code is suspected, it can be reported through the Canadian Tire Business Conduct Hotline, or directly to the BCCO, via the methods supplied above.

Retail warranty and returns policy
New Product Returns: Save Your Receipt
Your purchase can be returned for a hassle-free exchange or refund provided that the merchandise is in its original saleable condition and packaging
and it is returned with its original receipt. Returns without the original receipt will be made at PartSource’s discretion and at the lowest sale price
during the last 90 days.
Specific details and exceptions are as follows:

Regular Stock Product Returns
Regular stock products can be returned within 90 days of purchase to any PartSource location.
There is no restocking charge when returning regularly stocked merchandise.

Special Order Product Returns
Special order products can only be returned to the store of origin within the time limit originally specified. Some special order products may
have a restocking charge or may be non-returnable. In these cases we will inform you prior to ordering and we will note any special rules or
restocking fees directly on your receipt.

Non-returnable Products
Electrical parts and electrical tools are returnable only if they have not been installed, not been used and if they are in new original saleable
condition and packaging. Clearance items are non-returnable.
Warranty Product Returns
Your purchase can be returned for a hassle-free replacement/repair provided that it is returned within the warranty terms and warranty period.
The original receipt is required. Warranty returns without the original receipt will be made at PartSource’s discretion. Products with a replacement
warranty will be exchanged free of charge. Products with a repair only warranty will be repaired in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
Warranty claims are limited to replacement/repair of the product only. We do not cover additional costs such as labour or towing. Batteries having a
pro-rated extended warranty will have a pro-rated charge applied when exchanged after the free replacement period.
Core Returns
Cores can be returned in accordance with the above Regular Stock / Special Order guidelines providing the core is complete, free of damage, in its original package and returned with the original receipt. Please return cores as soon as possible as core values do change.
Customer Information
Your name, residence address and phone number will be required when processing an exchange or refund. Refunds or exchanges will not be processed without
this information. This information is collected, used and retained to help prevent fraud, and may only be disclosed within PartSource, its affiliated
companies, or as required by law. Valid photo ID may be required to confirm this information.
Refund Tender
Refunds will be made in the same tender as the original purchase. In cases where the original tender cannot be determined, the refund method will
be at PartSource’s discretion.
10% Low Price Guarantee
- The price match guarantee should be applied if the customer identifies an item at a lower price from a local competitor.
- The 10% is taken off the competitor’s lower price for retail customers only. The price is only matched for commercial customers
- All local competitors apply with the exception, bankruptcies and clearance sales and wholesalers. Price claims from Costco will be honoured for retail customers only but not for commercial claims.
- Partsource will honour competitors (including Canadian Tire) regular and promotional prices with the exception of clearance sales.
- The items must be of comparable quality, warranty, and package quantity. The decision as to whether or not an item is comparable is at the discretion of the franchisee.
- Quantities can be limited at the discretion of the franchisee.
- If the customer finds a lower price from a local competitor within 30 days of purchasing the item from PartSource we will honour the price match policy.
- Local Canadian competitors must be within a 20km radius of the store. We will not price match cross boarder retailers or retailers that are beyond the 20Km zone.
- Internet orders will not be honoured.
- If a competitor is out of stock on a lower priced item, the store should honour the claim since this will highlight both our in-stock position as well as our commitment to offer competitive prices.
- All PartSource merchandise that is in-stock or can be ordered with a product number will be eligible for price match and price match guarantee. Third party sourced products with a 9 digit number or not on file products are not eligible.
- Proof of a competitor's price is at the discretion of the franchisee.
The Price Match Guarantee should NOT be applied in the following situations:
- Competitors bankruptcy sales
- Wholesale prices (note that we will honour retail price claims from Costco but not commercial claims)
- Competitor clearance sales
- Mail in rebates (note that we will honour instant rebates)
- Discounts received for volume purchases
- Price matches with other PartSource stores – match the price but don’t provide the additional 10%.
- Internet orders
- Retailers located outside of Canadian Borders
- Retailers located outside of a 20Km zone around the store

Canadian Tire is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information obtained by reason of your customer relationship with Canadian Tire. The Canadian Tire Privacy Charter (Privacy Charter) explains the types of customer personal information we collect, how it is used, and the steps we take to ensure your personal information is handled appropriately.
Our policies and practices have been designed to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and corresponding provincial privacy acts. Our Privacy Charter may be amended from time to time. We encourage you to review the current Privacy Charter from time to time. Who is Canadian Tire?
For purposes of this Privacy Charter, "Canadian Tire" means Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited and its family of companies including Canadian Tire Financial Services Limited, Canadian Tire Bank, Canadian Tire Real Estate Limited, Mark's Work Wearhouse, and Canadian Tire Retail, including products and services offered through Canadian Tire companies under brands such as Canadian Tire Petroleum and PartSource. Canadian Tire stores and certain Mark's Work Wearhouse and PartSource stores are owned and operated by independent dealers or franchisees. Canadian Tire gas bars are operated under license by independent agents. These dealers, franchisees, and agents are responsible to adopt their own privacy policies to protect your personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Charter.
What is personal information?
Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. Personal information includes such things as your name, address, age, income, date of birth, financial information and credit records, as well as your opinions, preferences and purchase patterns. Information about individuals contained in public records is generally not considered personal information.

- We are accountable to you
Canadian Tire is responsible for all personal information under its control, including any personal information that is transferred to third parties for processing, storage or other purposes. We have employees in each of our business units who are accountable for compliance with these privacy and security principles, and who report to the Chief Privacy Officer of Canadian Tire (see Contact Information, below).
- Why we collect your personal information
Canadian Tire identifies the purpose for which your personal information is collected. We do this before or at the time the information is actually being collected. We collect, use and disclose your personal information in order to:
- process your application for a product, service or Canadian Tire loyalty reward program ("Loyalty Program");
- better understand your product and services needs and to offer relevant information, products, services and rewards to meet those needs;
- determine your interest and eligibility for, and where appropriate provide you with, products, services and loyalty rewards;
- administer the delivery of products, services and loyalty rewards to you;
- track and analyze your purchases, other transactions, shopping patterns, account activity, and payment history for marketing analysis purposes or making promotional offers to you;
- conduct surveys and analysis for research, statistical and product development purposes (information will be anonymized to the extent possible);
- verify your identity and protect against error and fraud;

- support promotions and contest administration;
- perform tests to implement or modify systems;
- comply with legal and regulatory requirements; and
- achieve other purposes as may, from time to time, be permitted by law.
By providing your information to Canadian Tire, you consent to Canadian Tire using the information for the uses described above. Withdrawal of consent to collect, use and disclose your personal information for purposes of your participation in the Loyalty Program may restrict our ability to provide you with some of the privileges and opportunities of being a Member.
- We obtain your consent to collect, use or disclose your personal information
Canadian Tire obtains your consent to collect, use or disclose personal information. The method of obtaining consent depends on the circumstances and the sensitivity of the information. Your express consent (verbal, written or electronic agreement) is obtained to collect, use or disclose sensitive personal information. Implied consent may be obtained in circumstances where a customer relationship already exists, express consent has previously been given, or the purpose of using the personal information is reasonably apparent to you. We may also rely on your actions or your choice not to act for consent.

Benefits you receive through consent
Canadian Tire is a growing network of interrelated businesses offering a unique mix of products and services. We want to give you exceptional customer service and additional value which is achieved through sharing your information across the various businesses. This sharing permits us to notify current and new customers of products, services, rewards and special offers they might enjoy. We may also provide your personal information across Canadian Tire or to other companies designated by Canadian Tire under the Loyalty Program (Partners) so that they can notify you directly of products, services, rewards and special offers that they may be of interest to you. These notices may be given to you by postal mail, e-mail, facsimile, telephone, text message, automatic dialing-announcing device or other form of telecommunication using the contact information that you provide to us.
"Opting-out" or withdrawing your consent
If you decide that you do not want to receive marketing offers for products and services, you may always withdraw or refuse your consent at any time by calling us toll-free at 1-866-846-5841. Your request will be promptly processed but may not be in time to remove you from promotions already in progress. Please note that even if you have opted out of receiving marketing communications, we may still contact you for purposes of administering your account.
The consequences of withdrawing or refusing consent
If you decide to withdraw or refuse your consent, our ability to communicate with you will be diminished. For example, we will generally not be able to tell you about price discounts, rewards, customized balance transfer offers, contests, or other products and services that may be of value to you.
- We limit collection of your personal information
Canadian Tire collects only the information required to provide products and services to you. If the personal information we require is collected for a reason other than as outlined in this Privacy Charter, your consent will be obtained before or at the time the information is collected. Canadian Tire will collect personal information only by clear, fair and lawful means.
- We limit use, disclosure and retention of your personal information
Canadian Tire uses and discloses your personal information only for the purposes it was collected.
We assure you that we do not sell or rent personal information. We only disclose your personal information within Canadian Tire, with current or future Partners in the Loyalty Program, and with third party service providers for the administration of certain promotional activities, to ensure your needs are met and you are receiving optimum value from your participation in the Loyalty Program.
We may release your personal information to entities outside Canadian Tire, such as our vendors, suppliers and agents who assist us in serving you (Service Provider). When your personal information is provided to a Service Provider, we require them to protect the information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Charter to secure and protect the confidentiality of your personal information. Our Service Providers may be located in or outside of Canada and may be required to disclose your personal information under the laws of their jurisdiction. You may contact us for the location of Service Providers who have been provided with your personal information (see Contact Information, below).
Canadian Tire retains your personal information only as long as it is required for our business relationship or as required by federal and provincial laws.
In the unlikely event that Canadian Tire or substantially all of its assets are acquired by an unrelated third party, your personal information may be one of the transferred assets.

We want to keep your personal information up to date, accurate and relevant for its intended use. We rely on you to let us know if your address, telephone number or other information changes, so that we may provide you with the best possible service.

All our Service Providers are required under their contracts with us to maintain your confidentiality and may not use your information for any unauthorized purpose. We review our procedures and security measures regularly to ensure that they are properly administered and remain effective and appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

You have the right to request access to your personal information we have on record in order to ensure it is accurate. If there are discrepancies, your information can be updated, as appropriate. There may be times when we may not be able to fulfill your request. Canadian Tire responds in a timely manner to your questions, concerns and complaints about the privacy of your personal information and our privacy policies and procedures.
