Lift & Shop equipement tips from our pros
Does your car…
- Pull to one side?
- Have tight steering?
- Vibrate at certain speeds?
- React harshly when you hit
a bump?
Yes? Then it is time to get to the bottom of the problem!
Check under your car (using proper equipment!) for signs of wear in areas such as the CV boots. Accumulated snow and ice can cause the CV boot to tear, damaging the CV joint. Replacing the joint is far more costly than replacing the boot! Also check for signs of splits in the rubber bushings.
It's imperative to inspect and lubricate steering and suspension parts regularly. Once water seeps into parts such as tie-rods, premature wear may occur.
